Fish Fry
Description: In the season of Lent, St. Catherine of Siena holds two Fish Fries during separate Friday evenings. These events not only require a response to buy tickets and enjoy the delicious fish supper (fish supplied by Ward's Seafood, parishioner) but also a large group of volunteers to set up, serve, and clean-up on those two Fridays. These annual Lenten gatherings have enabled people to enjoy a meal while meeting members of the community of St. Catherine of Siena.
Requirements: Volunteers who do well in following an organized system of food serving, plating, standing in a sometimes warm kitchen, and meeting new people.
Training: Usually a pre-meeting is held a week before the first Fish Fry. Look for notices in the Parish Bulletin/announcements!
Time: Approximately 4 hours each evening.
