Altar Society
Description: Provides clean altar linens for Liturgical celebrations. Be trained in the proper rinsing, pre-treating stains, laundering and ironing of small altar cloths.
Requirements: Be able to pick up linens and return them to the sacristy after proper washing and ironing of the linens.
Time Commitment: Approximately 3 hours at your home.
Helpful Attributes: Be able to perform a "Martha" chore with a "Mary" heart. Additional help is always needed.

Art/Environment
Description: Seasonal. Arrange floral, greenery, banners, and other décor that is appropriate for the various liturgical seasons and feasts.
Requirements: Volunteers should have flexibility, physical strength, and be able to work as a team.
Experience Necessary: Knowledge of plants, background in art and design, and have a sense of aesthetic balance
Training: Individual training with periodic meetings for updates.
Time: Approximately 1- 4 hours (as needed) depending on the season or feast. A total four – six times per year.

Music Ministry
Description: The music ministry consists of the traditional choir with cantors, a contemporary music ensemble, and a youth ensemble. Members of these ensembles provide music for liturgies and encourage the congregation to sing as part of their praise of God.
Requirements: Love of music, some musical ability, and a desire to praise God through music. Commitment to attend scheduled rehearsals.
Time Commitment: All ensembles meet for rehearsal for 1 to 2 hours each week.
Helpful Attributes: Vocal or instrumental training is desirable but not required.
Activities: The traditional choir sings at the 11am Sunday Mass; the contemporary ensemble sings at the 9 AM Mass; the youth ensemble sings at the 6 PM Sunday Mass. All groups may be asked to participate in other church events.

Quiet Angels
Description: Cleaning the church, sacristies, cry room, confessionals, etc.
Requirements: Desire to serve our Lord and the parish community
Time Commitment: About 1 hour (depending on volunteers available) every Thursday morning
Helpful Attributes: Physical ability to dust and/or vacuum
Activities: Dusting, vacuuming, general cleaning

Altar Servers
Description: Boys and girls, third grade and older who have received First Eucharist are invited to assist the priest during the celebration of Mass and for other liturgical celebrations and devotions.
Requirements: Servers need to be participating in some form of ongoing religious education. Demonstrate an understanding, appreciation and reverence for the Liturgy. Servers sign a commitment form acknowleding their agreement to comply with the rules and guidelines set forth in the Altar Server Handbook.
Time Commitment: Servers are scheduled for at least two weekend Masses per month. Servers must arrive at least 20 minutes prior to their scheduled Mass and attend scheduled training.
Helpful Attributes: A desire to serve God, attentiveness at Mass, a prayerful presence and reverence for the Eucharist.
Activities:Invited to a yearly Altar Server Appreciation Mass at the Cathedral with the Bishop. Servers are treated to a yearly social outing.
